Marcus Jack.

Marketing & Branding Creative Pro.
Bio 2021

I’ve been at the business end of the design, branding and marketing worlds since the mid 90s. I’ve worked at some of the big names in the North, including Attik from Huddersfield, An Agency Called England from Leeds and Redcats from Roubaix, who moved to... Bradford.

I’ve worked in-house but also enjoy the buzz of agency work. The variety of putting pitches together, branding, rebranding, creating strong campaigns  and great looking design for any project, digital or print.

Since the creative world has changed so much over the last two years, I took the chance to leave my full-time post (of over 10 years) and look for freelance and temporary positions... something I wanted to do so I can spend some time on my own painting projects. I had my first solo exhibition - just as the first lockdown started! - and have done commisss.

I feel this is a great time to move towards a more flexible, collaborative approach, and this seems to be the way the industry will increasingly be. I think my experience will be ideally suited to this approach.

I’m happy to pick up a project at any stage and run with it - alone or as part of a team. I'm happy to take briefs, and confident to work direct with the client and present creative solutions whenever needed. I'm good with working on site or from home.

I can take a concept through from inception stage to final idea, and also work up graphic packs and guidelines, whatever's needed. I can make ideas into campaigns (ok with writing  headlines and copy) and I'm also happy to pick up artwork or retouching work. Oh, I'm also competent in motion graphics so I'm able to make things move online.

I only ever want to make work that answers the clients' brief with great-looking, clever solutions and the only metrics I use to judge the success of a project is - did it achieve its commercial goal - and was the client happy?
